Special Issue: “Advances in Geographic Information System”
Geographic Information Systems are computer assisted systems for the capture, storage, retrieval, analysis and display of spatial data. The increase in the use and sophistication of these systems has led to a new academic interest which has resulted in a vigorous and expanding research community. Despite some lack of formalized definitions, categorizations, terminologies and standard data structures, published work shows a remarkable degree of cross disciplinary work. Geographic Information Systems represent a technological breakthrough in organizing and displaying spatial information to promote better decision-making by scientists, public officials, and communities facing increasingly complex demands upon their available resources.

You are encouraged to contribute to the special issue by submitting your latest research and development results in a broad range of geographic information system and some items related.

Submitted manuscripts must be original contributions, not previously published or submitted to other journals nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
